It comes from a very serious report by the JLL Luxembourg agency that says so… so it’s most likely true… for others!
Office building rents increased in 2022. An increase that can be explained, on the one hand, by the generalized inflationary context, but also by the scarcity of buildings meeting the latest energy standards. “This continuous growth in rents allows the market not to tip,” decrypts Lotfi Behlouli.
Increasingly requested by companies, the environmental certification of buildings has been scrutinized by JLL Luxembourg. The agency points out that properties with one of the different green labels are rented at a rent 9% higher on average. “This is an unrepresentative gap compared to cities like Brussels, where the gap is in the order of 20 to 30%.”

Rents on the outskirts are traditionally cheaper at 30 € / m2 against 53 € in the city center.
All this information is true, in the “general” market.
